So this week we have been looking at how rhythm structures music, it's potential origins, how it is utilised in other cultures and what affect it has on us as performers and/or audience members. With this in mind, your weekly NCT (non-contact task) is to create a piece of music for un-pitched percussion to be performed next week.
Some things to consider:
1. Who is this music for,
2. have you drawn any influences from other artists and/or cultures,
3. what is the concept/context/meaning behind your work and how have you communicated this musically,
4. how have you utilised you instruments
5. how have you structured your piece.
